Does this Bootstar Chip work?

First thing to say is: I´M A NOOB!
sry that I didn´t take hours of time to look through all threads before posting, but searching the forum for Bootstar didn´t give a result.
Now my questions:
Does anyone own a Bootstar and can tell me, how good this thing works? Are there any problems? How is it installed?
I´d really appreciate info on this, because this chip isn´t the cheapest and I want to know if the performance equals its cost.

bootstar is just another name for the messiah. and the messiah is the best chip, period.

The messiah, yeah? Okay, hard to install with 20 wires will make it impossible for me to do the job.
Yet:
at gamefreax.de this thing looks like a card. Still have to this wirething?
And they say, that I won´t have to any swaptricks when I own this chip. True?

The modchip will stretch the picture to full screen when playing
imported games (PSX). Using your console

it's NOT a plugin chip. the contacts at the bottom are for programming the chip with the mod data, you have to solder to the round points around the edges.
the chip will boot everything WITHOUT a swap.
you can also send your PS2 to gamefreax, they'll do the modification.
