safedisc 2.60 @ Civilization 3

Safedisc analyser v3.4 shows a safedisc version v2.60.052 and CRC (Calc/Proof): f71d7390 for civilization.exe after installation of the german version of civilization 3 and the patch v1.21f. Overwriting the civilization.exe with the english no-cd version causes the game to crash after customizing the world. Can somebody help me and tell me what i could do to get the game running? I would like to get either the english or the german version running!
