What's changed on your PC? Drivers? New daemon running in the background? Conflict with another burning program? Burner/reader being seen and grabbed by another application or daemon?

The only thing i have done was reformat my drive, and installed everything i had back on.
This worked well for about 3-4 weeks, i probably burnt about 40 -50 disc's successfully, until now.

Thanks.

Then I suggest you add CloneCD (doesn't need ASPI) and CDRWin (needs ASPI) to your collection and try them. I use all three (inc. Nero) and they all coexist happily. If either of the other two work, then we have narrowed the problem down to NERO and perhaps that'll work too after layers for CDRWin have been installed.

If CDRWin doesn't work, then install the ASPI layer on www.goldenhawk.com and try both CDRWin and Nero again.

Keep us posted.

Thanks for the reply Charlie, I have both CDRwin & CloneCD installed as well, I only use CDRwin for back up copies and it works perfect every time.
CloneCD i dont use becouse i cant sellect the "Don't repair sub-channel data" box when im burning, so that counts that one out. I'll try installing the ASPI layer and see what happens, there's no harm in trying i guess. other than that ill reformat again and see what happens then.

Thanks

For CloneCD, don't worry about the "Don't repair sub-channel data" box; I never check it. The reason you can't check the box is that the 9100b does NOT write sub-channel data (it reads it). So that means copy protected games won't work via CloneCD burnt via the 9100b.

Back to Nero, I recommend the ASPI layer downloaded from Goldenhawk.com.

If you're trying to backup Dreamcast self-booters and you're getting errors with Nero and dud copies with CloneCD, try Disc Juggler v3.00.755-FTU or later.

Just thought I'd pst this in case this is what you're trying to do.

Happy trails :-)
