Question IL-2 Sturmovik - How do I create backup

When I try Nero I get a read error. When I try CloneCD it hangs at 0% complete. How can I backup this game successfully?
Thanks for your help.

CloneCD settings

Thanks for your quick reply. Do I just need to wait, or do I need to play with settings like Fast Error Skip or Read Sub-Channel stuff?

well idon';t know what it is protected with but some drives take longer to read the first bit of the cd thatn others. it is usually the first part of the cd that take long. i had to let a cdrom take 15hours to make an image for me! i had to let it run overnight!

I thought it was protected with Safedisc 2 ?
Just look at the RTS.DLL file.

It is also possible that some versions of this game are not protected with SD2... It's just a guess, 'cause I haven't got Il-2 Sturmovic
Just like GTA 2 (some versions are protected with SD1, some aren't !)

I don't know what protection, if any, it may or may not have in other countries, but I can confirm as a fact, that the U.S. version does have SD2 protection.
