DVD-r messiah
how do i start a dvd-r game if you have a messiah chip??

Assuming the DVD-R is good, you switch the PS2 on from the rear; put the DVD-R into the tray and close it.
I put the PS2 in STANDBY (long press on RESET). Then a single tap on RESET boots the DVD-R.

the method can slightly differ between models, but the following works on ALL of them:
turn on, open tray, insert dvd-r (or any game for that matter), hit reset. it'll boot after that.
