Has anyone tried the tutorial on this site for creating VCDs that will play on a ps2? I couldn't find some of the programs so I couldn't do it. I was wondering if anyone got it to work? Also I noticed it said that it's making a MiniDVD so I tried, my way, to create a MiniDVD. Needless to say it did not work on my ps2 but it worked on my panasonic DVD(kinda). I'm just wondering if I'm wasting my time(around 3hrs to convert and burn) or what? Am I doing something wrong(I used TMPGEnc to convert, VirtualDub to split video/audio, SpruceUp to burn)? I'm just hoping that I don't get answers like I am wasting my time
Thanks, Josh |

yes, you are wasting your time.
ps2 will not play vcd or minidvd. the converter tools convert to ps2 movie format, which eats alot of space, so you can only fit 30-40 mins on a cd.

Well I found the 'kit' that will let me do this, and I'm not really worried about time because all I really use this stuff for is music vids and maybe some short clips. So I'm guessing that the guide I found on this site will work?

small update on what's up. As in the post before this one I wrote I got the 'kit' with all the goodies in it. I followed the directions as best I could however I don't know how to adjst settings so that I can make it fit onto a CD-R(too poor for dvd-r). I guess I'll just wait untill some type of VCD boot disc(if only)to come out. Thanks for the help
