C&C Renegade

Hi guys I have a little problem with C&C renegade. I have both CD1 and CD2 the backup copies.
The problem is: I can not install the game executing setup.exe results in program error "The setup.exe generated an error and program will be shutdown by windows you will need to restart the program" restarting the program ofcourse produces the same message.

System:
Windows 2000 Pro
Intel Genuine 601Mhz CPU
256MB RAM
Voodoo 4 4500 AGP
Soundblaster Live! 1600

P.S. I know that Westwood studios did not design this game for Windows 2000 but I have a feeling that this is not Operating system incompatibility problem. I also know that Voodoo 4 is not one of the cards that are supported but I played Global Operations which is also EA product and did not encounter any problems.

Guys if anyone had the same problem and was able to figure out what is wrong with Setup.exe please let me know if you can.
