Question If the Messiah wasn't around how would you rate the Neo4???

G,day Guys,

I am in a real dilemma, I want to get a Messiah Chip (as they sound like the best), however on the Australian Internet sites it is saying that the Messiah and Neo4 have been withdrawn due to legal reasons.

I want a chip fast to start using my PS2 to its full potential. I AM DESPERATE!!!!!!!

I can get my hands on a Neo4 and have it installed tomorrow if I want.

I know this question has been posted before and I have read many of the threads myself, but....

Is there any benefit to having a Neo4??? Does it work on all versions of PAL PS2???

I know it won't play original imports (they can be backed up though?) and DVD-r needs swapping... My main concern was when I heard they will not play all games...is this correct?

If there is anyone who can find the time to go over this with me I would appreciate it......I don't want to make a rash decison.

Sorry about this novel that I have written

Thanks

COMMENT: I've supplied MESSIAH in recent weeks to several Australian clients and can, of course, still do so. Please e-mail me via my profile.

COMMENT: Forgive my saying so, but the NEO4 is crap. It has 44 wires, won't boot US original imports (something very important) and still needs that damn high TOC swap for VD-Rs. That automatically eliminates a raft of games unless you buy the largest original which keeps on changing. NEO4 is almost self-defeating thus for DVD-R purposes. That is an extreme view, of course, but absolutely true.

COMMENT: I've nswered the DVD-R/Originals point above. It will play all games except those limited by the high TOC question.
