Big Zoo Tycoon Install Problem!!

I have an original copy of zoo tycoon which I am trying to make a backup of. I have downloaded and installed the v1.0 NO-CD patch but this only makes the game run IF you have installed it already.
The real problem is that the setup.exe file is protected and whenever I try to install the game using the backup copy and error message pops up saying 'Media Authentiction failed'
There have been a few ZOO TYCOON posts but none seem to answer the question.
Some say that you can copy it using clone-cd but I don't think my cd-writer (which is a 'CREATIVE CD-RW BLASTER') can write using RAW mode.
This is a problem which I have been trying to get round for many MONTHS without much success.
So this begs the question.............................
HAS MICROSOFT FINALLY MADE AN UNCRACKABLE GAME???!!!!
