High heat 2003 no cd/fixed exe patch problem

I downloaded the high heat 2003 patch from gamecopies site- I install the patch and when i start the game u only hear music from the game. im still on the desktop and once i click the mouse the music stops and nothing happens. any ideas? anyone else having this problem? helpppppppp

i had this too....u have to put the desktop to 16 bit colours or 32 bit..cant remember which one...just swap it over...it works
