Acer's really the king now??

I've been away of this forum for a damn while cuz I went out of biz..kinda. It was the time when Deamon and Zeddy ruled here, and also PLEXTOR. Now I'm back and i'm shopping for another cdwr and at my suprise, ACER is now the writer of choice (with a Toshiba reader for subchannel combo).

Is Acer really at the top of the hill for a while? What about it reliability? Does Plextor will release (or any other good brand cdrw) of CDRW capable making 1:1 of SD2 protected disk?

Any comments on this?

Hey man! I'm looking for a cdrw too and also got a toshiba cdrom. You are right that acer is the cdrw for us because we have raw 96 reading so we don't need it from the writer. Also acer is the only writer which has buffer underrun protection, correct efm encoding and raw dao 96 writing. Except the plextor 2410 which is very expensive right now, not mentioning the rumors about deals with macrovision.
so ACER IS DA KING!
