this will sound pretty lame to you lot but ?
i want to chip my ps2..........to play vcd...cdr films and games.
what do you suggest and why ?

I suggest you sell your PS2 and buy a DVD player then, cause the stuff you want is not gonna happen with any chip.

Haven't tested it but If I were you I should give it a try!

that's no VCD player. in fact, it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with VCD.
it's a converter from mpeg to ps2 video format, which takes up lots of space too.
