Angry Plz Help! Burning Final Fantasy 8!

Please help!
i have tried to burn final fantasy 8 (australian PAL) version for psx1 and i used firstly cloneCD to do it, tht didnt work.

Then i used a cracked version of CDRwin to do it, i created the img... and i patched the bin file using the right patch (i think) [patch by chen for uk/aus PAL]. i then burnt the patched image onto the cd at 8x and it locked up at the sony screen when i tried to play it. I have wasted 2 CD's and i really dont want to waste any more. Plz help it will be much appreciated.

Mark

try to slow your speed down to at least 4x.was your crack bad for cdrwin(was there any files on the disk after you copyed it),i seen that happen befor when people tried to crack cdrwin.

thanx buzzon. i have a couple more q's: do i need to patch all four cd's or just the first one?
and is there anywhere where i can find a different patch other than that 'chen' one?
also why does the writing speed have so much to do with how ur game turns out?

thanks again i havent tried it yet but i'll get back to you and tell you how it went

You MUST patch all four cds otherwise you will only be able to play the first bloody disk!! also you should burn at 2x or 4x but not 8x or 1x because 8 is too fast and 1 is too slow.

good luck

4 discs, 1 patch for each disk i think

the only game i managed to back up!

is 1 speed too slow? isnt that the best for the game?

i burn at 1x every time and never had a problem with speed.it depends on your burner.and alot of people will tell you the same.the slower the better.

Exactly right. 1X all the way. It may be long, but a perfect copy is well worth it.

Thumbs up

1x cant be used with many new burners and would take far too long anyway. my burner is 20x max and the minimum speed it is capable of is actually 4x with a cdr!!! also i would like to add that i also have an old 8x burner and when i burnt at 1x speed the game always skip in fmvs and froze occasionly but when i wrote at 4x the game worked fine!
