Question DVD Reader, the best for ripping movies?

First off thanks to anyone taking the time to read and help me out with this question.

I like to rip my dvd movies I get from netflix and toss em on my machine at home to view them at a later date. Currently I have a Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1102. While that unit plays great, when i use the latest Smart Ripper the rip speed maxes at around 1.7 to 1.75 MAX. This is slow as HELL! I bought the drive and then read later it was a snail for ripping.

So my question is, does anyone recommend a really good DVD Reader that can rip movies really fast? Please give me a model # and brand.
Thanks alot!

Make sure that you have DMA turn on!
I have a pionner drive and for some time I thought it had somekind of problem, because it read the dvds with 1,3!
That was because DMA was off. By enabling it, it now reads with 4! Try this if you think your DVD can give you more.
