Hi there,

The patch may rename the main exe file that the shortcut points to. Normally they DON'T.

Uninstall everything to do with AOE2 TC.

Make sure u delete the directory too if it still exists after uninstalling.
Then, reinstall the game only.

Check what file gets pointed to, to run the game.
U should be able to right-click on the shortcut in Program Files - Microsoft Games etc, & select properties.
This will tell u what the file is.
Check it's size too.

Make sure the game works ok without the patch.

Then patch it.
If it moans it can't find it, look in the directory to see if u can find the original name of the exe that was run by the shortcut.
If not, see if there is another one with similar size or name.
Then point it to that one.

I don't know if this will be the answer or not.
I have not got it installed on my pc anymore.

Well, I hope it helps.

Regards,
Einstein
