Does Toshiba DVD read SD2 copies

My Memorex 48X CD Rom drives read my SD2 copies just fine but the Creative 52X does not. before I go buy anouther Memorex CD Rom, I thought maybe I should consider a DVD and Toshiba has some great prices right now. My question is: has anyone tried the Toshiba SD-M1502 Internal EIDE/ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM Drive for reading SD2 copies from a philips based burner?
