help! which model ps2 have I got?

Currently installing chip, but confused. Thought I had a v4, my machine is a 30003 (no R), 8 screws, Hazard warning, serial number starts with B1.... but using the pic showing how to fix the rgb/dvd green screen problem (see http://www.dvdfix.dk/images/diagram/ps2v4rgb.htm )
I don't seem to have the small connection point. How come?
I've heard that there are some 30003 models out there that are actually v5s. Is this true? How can I tell?

Thanks in advance,

dose

I'm surprised nobody has replied to this one. So I'll make a fool of myself!

You didn't mention that any other aspect of your board differed from the v4 diagram. Yet you asked if it could be a v5.

The 30003R comes in two variants:

1 As a v4 with version 2.10E BIOS/Drivers
2 As a v5 ditto

The v5 is currently identified by removing the expansion bay cover and feeling along the top inside rim. If there are three scres, two flush on the casing and one screw inset on a flange, then it is a v5.

Does this help?
