Novachip anyone?

Anyone read about the new NovaChip on lik sang.com?

Seems that this chip can be used for either a NTSC U/C or NTSC/J PS2. All that's needed is to jumper the correct point.

No doubt it needs a swap for PS2 backups, but for those who have a NTSC/J PS2, it's got lesser wires than Origa v1.25 (18 v 28 for Origa).

No info about removing the region coding for DVD movies though.

It does seem to be good news though, since if they can combine a swap chip for Jap and US PS2's in one chip with this, then it should not be long before a universal no-swap chip is available

Anyone getting this chip?

it seems to be just an origa clone (or possibly even made by the origa brothers under a different name). seems to have pretty much the same abilities, just with us and jap combined.
