Warlords Battlecry II

Help! I need to make a backup copy of my Battlecry II CD so I don't have to use the original (nothing is safe in my house... sheesh). At any rate, I tried copying the CD to a folder on my rig, then I burned that into a CD with the same lable and such. However, while the auto-run and install/uninstall seem to work great, playing the game is a problem, it errors out asking for the CD in the drive. I am new to making backups of my CD's but after losing three games so far to cat or infant related injury, I want to keep my originals all in the closet and just play on copies, and I thought I would try to cut my teeth on Battlecry II since I am currently playing it. Any help or ideas, anyone?
