My cd-rom
Hello, i'm really new at all this, but i've read some of the comments on this forum and decided to buy a plextor plexwriter 12/10/32 E-IDE. My problem is when I tried to make a backup copy of an audio cd it gave me this message: Digital audio extraction is not supported on this cd-rom drive. This cd-rom is an 8x samsung scr-830 and i'm guessing is pretty old. Buying a new cd-rom is not a problem, however, do I need any specific one?

Why don't you use the plex to make the image?

Like I said, i'm new to all this, so I don't know how to use the plex to make an image. I would also like to make some backups of my old psx, and pc games sometime.

OKAY
Put the cd in the PLex open CloneCD! Select the most left hand button ( has a cd wiht an aroww to a disket) , when the mouse goes over it ,it says "Read to IMage file" NOw select the reader and then choose the PLex, leave the read speed on max. OF the options list( 5 in total) just tick Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks Then press on the Image tab and the select the destination folder. then at the bottom select the middel button which looks like hte one i just dribed, it will say Start Disc read at hthe bottom when you move the mouse over it.! there a an image will be made! This is just for an Audio CD |
