TEAC w54e with IBM Aptiva

After some research I have found that IBM aptivas, which have a TEAC w54e burner in them, have their firmware produced by IBM, not TEAC. Any one with a package IBM Aptiva with a w54e, firmware revision 7.1f have the IBM firmware. Now this is where it sux. This burner is fully compatible with clonecd, read and write, with updated firmware. But only TEAC have updated their firmware, not IBM, and IBM users can't upgrade to the TEAC revision. Now for my question.
Is there anyone out there with the same setup who have any of the following:
- A firmware revision higher than 7.1f
- The 'dont correct subchannel data' option or DOA-RAW option available on the write section of clonecd
- or any info or news.

Hi Just read your post about upgrade for TEAC firmware version 7.1 and was wondering if youve had any luck?I think Ive written to you before cos Ive got exactly the same problem.Ive written to TEAC but they say its up to IBM to provide upgrade.(Sux alright)Cant seem to get a reply from IBM Just wondering if youve had any joy or new imformation Thanking you for reply Clark
