Unhappy Backup the sims

I can't make a backup of The sims : Living large (Ça vous change la vie in french version) for few days.I have tried with clone CD.
I believe that the protection is safedisc ( I don't know exactly wich one).
Can't you help me ?
Does Clone CD works with this game?
I have download Unsafedisc but I don't know how to use it.
Thank's a lot.

Yea I think it's got SD2. What burner do you have as you may be able to make a 'perfect' copy of it with Clone CD.

Thats interesting kcodd, in your infinite wisdom how do you come to that conclusion, since my post clearly stated how i achieved a working copy. Burned it at 16x's speed as well. Installed and tested as well. The yamaha was used as the reader as well.

There are several tools listed in the file section of this site.
They are used to tell what protection is present. There was no flame intended, If your writer can handle it then add it to the list.
Now give us all the info, ie - model of writer, speed, firmware and when you used the tools on this site the type of protection you found. If you read in these forums here you will know that most people cannot copy sd2,5. If you also read the only writer that has done this all the time is the lite-on. There have been reports that other writers have done it but then we get conflicting reports about the same writers! I have only tested HP's 8200, 9100, memorex, philips, samsung, plex and also the lite-on. The latter was the only one to do the job! So like I said, give us all the info and add it to the list so they can be tested by others!

No flame intended - but are you sure it's 2.5 cos I'm nearly sure it was out well before MOHAA (one of the first 2.5 titles to come out). And isn't Hot Date the latest in the Sims family?
I'd guess 2.4 or earlier, and if this is the case then there is some chance for tempras to back it up if he/she would give us their burner.

SD1 SD2??

I have been able to copy Sims Living large and Hot Date using Clone And Plextor 24 10 40. I have no tools to show protection.
I presume they are both Safedisk 1 or 2 but not 2.5?

Is clony xl the best tool for showing settings needed and the type of protection (used with Clone) ? Is it a free download if not what is the price?

thanks TW

ClonyXXl will discern between SD1 and SD2, but will not discern between the sd2 revisions, i.e. V2.51 or V2.41

safedisc analyser will do that for you!

if livin large is sfdsc2, its an early revision. it is NOT 2.5. hot date is 2.4, i believe, and it came out something like a year later? maybe 1.5 years? post wisely.
