POWER CALIBARATION ERROR

cAN ANYONE TELL WHAT IS POWER
CALLIBARATION AREA ERROR WHILE
WRITING AT 8X SPEED ON MATSHITA
CW-7503 INTERNAL SCSI WRITER.

IT WORKS FINE AT 4X SPEED BUT
HAS STOPPED WRITING AT 8X SPEED.
PLS HELP.

Normally it means the media is not good enough.

Most likely it is the media (blank cd) you are using. However, it could also mean a bad or weak power supply. If switching media doesn't solve it, then try swapping power chords, or better yet, switch to a single dedicated power chord.
