In desperate need of help...Weird Problems
Alright i'm going to explain my problems in great detail because I really have no other option and i'm praying someone here can help me. Here's my situation:
I have burnt tons of DC games before. I used to always convert to .nrg and burn at 1x. My burner crapped out on me though so I purchased a new one. Specifically a LG Electronics GCE-8160B. Upon purchase of my burner I reformatted my hard drive and installed Windows XP Professional. So anyways I try to burn the Echelon rip of Rez. I first try with Discjuggler at 12x. The game won't work in my DC just takes me to the menu. So I try again at a lower speed. I try at 4x because for some odd reason my burner will not go lower than that. This doesn't work either, same results. So having never had any luck with DiscJuggler I try to convert to Nero and burn. I find I can't do this because the image is a DJ V. 3+. So I seek help on Mirc #Dchelp. I am told to try and burn it after using CDIRip to make an iso and cue sheet that can be burnt with CDRWin. I try this at 12x doesn't work in my machine, takes me to the audio cd screen. So by now i'm starting to get worried. I try a different game thinking it might be a bad file or something. I try Bass Fishing 2. I also get an updated version of CDI2Nero. So I convert to Nero and burn with that at 12x. Being the tried and true method for me I'm expecting no problems. I burn it, same problem, goes to menu. I then try Bass Fishing again at 4x with CDRWin after converting it with CDIRip. Same problem!! I can't figure out why nothing I burn will work. I seem to be doing everything correctly. And what makes this even more strange is that when I put every CD i've burnt in my computer the image is burnt correctly and the files are there. I'm burning on the same media that I've used to burn all my DC games, and my DC plays backups because the one I burnt right before my burner crapped out works. If someone could please help me in some way, give me some explanation, I would be infinitely grateful. I am going absolutely crazy trying to make this work.
