Question Backing up Medals of Honor

I am a newbie to the back up thing with all the new copy protections that are out. I have been trying to make a back-up of Medals of Honor and only end up making coasters. I have tried Clone Cd (newest version) at a read speed of 4X and CD Mate using their safe disk 2 settings from the pull down with no success. I am using a Plextor 24/10/40 A to read & write. Can someone PLEASE offer me some step by step insructions on how to do this

get clonyXXl for future use and that will tell you what settings to use. But your plex won't do it

MOHAA

Also slow the write down as well -reading low and writing high with MOHAA didn't work for me. This new SD2 seems to be a read and write issue.

Thanks for the tips I was able to get a working back-up with no need for patches etc... using clode cd I slowed the read speed to 4X, enabled fast error skip set the retry to 3 times and set error correction to none. After writing the image file I ran Betablocker. In write I used speed 6X, enabled buffer under run protection and enabled always close last session. I had tried Betablocker on previous attempts but it did not work but by read & write speeds were much higher so it looks like speed is a major factor on the safe disk 2 protection. SO its safe to say the plextor 24/10/40A will burn a safe disk 2 copy

Clony XXL is not 100% accurate with the settings when copying safe disk 2 protected disks

Why not? The setting within FES can vary and still give the same results, if that's what you meen...

ALso you do not have a perfect copy although you don't need patches, because you used betablocker!

I use an old Sony 2x and by using Blindread2.0 i copies the disc to the hard drive and then using beleive it or not Adaptec CD creator 4.0 to burn the image data to a clean cd. Once installed i just copied over a downloaded crack to the game. Slow i know but it worked first time no worries. Trust an Aussie to adapt and overcome...
