Mega Memory VMU Problem!!!!!!!!

I have the 16meg Mega Memory VMU for my Dreamcast and have been having some trouble lately.

I try to format the VMU using the Dreamcast....it says it has wiped it all, but the data then instantly reappears.

Have also tried wiped the VMU with the PC software supplied (DOCKING STATION), it starts to wiped the saves then crashes.

Is it possible to wipe the card another way...or has it bit the big one.

Some help please
