How to copy the original cd of Operation Flashpoint

I got the original disk of operation flashpoint but since i lost my disk of Quake3 (also the original) i decided to copy all the games i have.
But i use nero 5.5.6.4 Whenever i try to read the disk to make an image it sais it cant read the disk and then quits.

How can i copy this disk so it will still selfinstall and so i can do the patches on it ? (not just a copy of the files of the disk but everything)
I want to make a perfect copy of the disk with everything on it.

Is it possible ? and then how ?

It CAN read it! You just have to open the log and you´ll see the read errors!
These errors are part of the SafeDisc2 protection, so the reading process will take some time ...
be sure to check the ´amplify weak sectors´ option - otherwise you´ll not be able to use your backup!

You have to check Fast Error Skip when reading to an image file.
Fast Error Settings: Read Retries=0 Error Correction=Software
