My cd-rom drive can not read burned cd's <more>
I just burned 2 cd-roms and tried them at the computer I burned them in and they worked fine, but when I try them at home in my Pc the cd-rom drive can not read them! Any ideas what is going on and if it can be fixed? I have an older pc at home with 20x cd-rom drive, but I have bought burned cd-roms and been able to use them in this computer! Please help me, this was supposed to be a surprise games for my kids for Christmas.

No real solution here. Some CDROM drives cannot read some CDs, especially burnt ones. Sometimes it reads a burnt CD fine, and sometimes not. I've seen these problems many times. Try replacing the CDROM, or maybe use different media type (some drives work better with certain media).

I've had a problem like that before as well. But all I did was uninstall the CDRom. Right click on MyComputer Icon select properties, Device Manager, select CDRom then Remove. Restart your computer and windows will reinstall the drivers. Try this it worth a shot rather than buying a new CDRom even though they a easy to install and are rather cheap now aday. Also depending on the type of CDRom and age there may be new firmware for it. Check out the website for CDRom manufacture for updates.
