Trouble with backing up my copy of NHL2002

Hello,

I am new here, and I am hope that someone can help me.
I bought NHL 2002, but i would like to make a backup of it.
I know there is protection on it, safedisc2, but i can't get my cd to burn.
I have read everything i can think of on it. I have used clonecd, blind readwrite,nero and i still get nothing. I used all the settings they suggested, and nothing.

I have a plextor 12x10x32x burner running firmware 1.04 (I downgraded)

I have tried it on speeds of 1x-8x and nothing.

Is there a special way i should be doing this. I would like to either make a 1:1 copy or i guess i can settle for one with a crack, but i prefer the 1:1
