Soul Reaver 2 question

Just came home from buying Soul Reaver 2 (on sale for 15 bucks!!)..anyway, i would like to back up this game, i'm always scratching my cds and stuff...i've tried all the basic stuff, i.e., nero, EZCD, etc., nothing seems to work...does anyone out there have some suggestions for me? Keep in mind, i'm a total noob to this stuff, so be gentle with my lack of experience
