Real Problem with REALWARS New Protection???

Has anyone tryed to backup REAL WARS (pc) ?
I've tried without success I think it has some sort of NEW protection..
I have Tried with Plextor 8/20 & Liteon 24/10/40 and clonecd without success.
I have never before not been able to backup a Disc.
This one is very interesting.
It has no protection acourding to all the protection detection tools(Clony,PcCopy.YAPS)
It also has several rings visible on the disc and when you try to backup it is slow to read
then speeds up then slows which seems to be in line with the rings!!!
If anyone has tried this game I would be interested in any comments or more importantly any help to be able to backup this Game.
BTW: the game was bought in Australia.

The Aussie version of Real War is protected by Read Errors, BIG read errors. The game took me 3 hours to read, the rings you can see are the read errors.

Start Clony, it'll say No Protection Found (or something like that), then do a search for read errors. Once thats been done it'll detect the protection straight away ...

Later ...

What protection did you come up with?
What programe did you use to read and write it with? ad what settings?
and did the backup work OK?
I managed to get an image in about 45 min and burnt it 12 diferent ways and on different burners without any success.
the best I got was 4% into the install

"What protection did you come up with?"

Read Errors..

"What programe did you use to read and write it with?"

CloneCD V3.1.0.0..

"ad what settings?"

Reading:
4X Speed Read (probably go slower might work better)
Read Subchannel From Data - Ticked
Fast Error Skip - Ticked (0 Retries & Hardware Correction)
Writing:
Don't Repair Subchannel Data - Ticked
Always Close Last Session - Ticked (of course .. )

"and did the backup work OK?"

Yep sure did, all 3 copies i have done..

"the best I got was 4% into the install"

Sounds like you have had more read errors then you should have, are there scraches on the cd your copying from?? I do have a full list of the read errors you should get when copying, all the unreadable sectors according to CloneCD ...

Later ..
