thief : no cd crack -- error: thief.exe has wrong size

i follow all directions at gamecopyworld.com for patch 1.33 thief the dark project cd#7

when i try to execute patch in base directory (i assume im executing by clicking on the patch icon) i get:
-applying win32asm crack patch
-thief.exe has wrong size

press any ### to exit

any suggestions??
