Backup legally-owned Throne of Bhaal CD

Hi !
I'm french and bought french version of Throne of Bhaal ; I would like to backup my CD , but I have problems with the file named Area6500.bif . It seems impossible to copy it from the CD to the CD-R , and I already tried to install the entire BG2 game to ##### if I could find the file on my Hard Disk , but that failed . Did anybody meet the same problem ? Whenever my original CD gets lost or broken , would I be able to play TOB with a copy missing that damned Area6500.bif file ?
Thanks for answers !

BOT is on a distinguished road
Try copying all the files from cd to a temp directory, if that fails your original cd is bad.
There should be no protection on this.

Hmmmm, no protection you say. Well, I have the English version of Throne Of Bhaal &
this is protected with the LASERLOK protection. I have not tried backing this up
yet, but I have successfully backed up Icewind Dale which has the same LASERLOK protection.
If you look closely at the cd, you will see a faint ring about half a centimetre from the main shiny silver ring. This is the LASERLOK protection.
Try the following :-
Download BlindRead/Write Suite from ####://www.blindread.com.
Download CDRWin from ####://www.goldenhawk.com.
Install both & aquire registration ###s (leave that to you).
Use BlindRead with option 2 (Gaps) to read & change output to CDRWin cuesheets.
Then use CDRWin to burn. You have to load the cuesheet first though.
This worked fine with Icewind Dale (both cd's) & I can install & play from the backup cd's no problem.
Hope this helps.
