help me back up halflife

can anyone give me a step by step guide to copying halflife and halflife opposing force. I can manage psx games but i have not been able to work out how to do pc games. Please someone help and tell me what i need to do.my email address is dazzlowe**********com if you wanna email me. thanx (the version is european i think as i live in the uk).

As you didn't mention the version you need a patch for it is hard to tell. For Example HL (US) isn't protected at all, but other versions are (oversized, safedisc (HLOP)) and so on. So you should better take a look at the game-index at gcw and follow the instructions
