Red Alert 2 CD Copy

Hello all

Can somebody help me with ra2 cd copy, i downloaded the cd copy instructions (including patches) i have followed all the instructions but when i try to apply the patch all i get is a error message "Access Denied or File in use" i have tried applying the patch via dos and windows (98 and ME) to no avail, pls help.
