What Copy Protection does Gothic German use?

I did a Clone CD Backup of Gothic, however the Game still tells me to insert the original CD. So since ther is no Gothic crack around, what Copy protection does Gothic use? Since there is no gothic.icd file, is it possible, gothic uses SafeDisk v2? But the generic crack doesnt work :-(
So is there a crack for Gothic somewhere (no matter if No-CD or a crack enabling me to play my backup)?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Muahahahahaha,

sorry, but if you don't have a clue how Gothic is protected, then I would not talk about the protection. Gothic would have a short laugh and then it says 'NO WAY BROTHER'. Becuase Gothic is VOB protected and not Safedisc 1/2.
So keep you eyes WIDE open dumdum.

Hi!

Gothic is a RPG from germany like Ultima IX. But the most of the people who have play this great game think, that this game is what Ultima IX has should be! I have spend hours without playing only to stand in the world of gothic and looking around. Because the grafic is the best i've ever seen!
The sad thing is, that the developer of gothic, piranha bytes, cant find a publisher for usa. Its very hard for german developers to find a publisher for usa.
So, if you can get a engl. version... BUY IT! Its the best Game i played!

Sorry for my bad englisch
