Finally SAFEDISK 2 Games which work
Hello, you may or may not believe this but i have copied a few SD v2 which work on there own and it wasn't that hard (obviously because i'm 15)!!
*I used CloneCD with a Philips PCRW804 1.8 and ticked "Fast error skip" and left read speed at max! *Then went to Write from Image file and select Write speed 2x and simulated the burn first off all then once done burnt it 4 real! I swear on my life that this works! I have copied a large number of games this way including:- Hitman The Ward C & C Red alert 2 (still a few problems in it though) Please feel free to contact me if you need any help! blood132**********cim |

If you put the Write speed to 2x it takes about 30min for Hitman and 20min for the Ward but.....
I discovered tonight that it also works at 4 speed which means you get Hitman copied in 22Minutes and the ward in 8ish. These are thetimes for my PC these are variable. PC:- Dell DimensionXPS T500 64mb RAM Windows '98 (95's a disaster) nIVIDA RIVA TNT2 Graphics Card 24XDVD-ROM 8x4x32 Philips PCRW804 I can copy every game under the sun (with the exception of the origonal driver) with this computer i swear on it!! Why didn't anybody tell me about this site sooner????????? |

Firstly 2002 baseball where can i get hold of that game?; And secondly i have copied driver now so shove that where the sun don't shine!
The Ward copy's perfectly, so does C&C Red Alert 2(now) and i have even copied games for my cousins in America who send me games to be backed up! So if u tell me a web address to get that game i will copy it and just rub it right in your face just to sicken you! |

Hello all, I recently bought a plex writer 12x10x32a, and I am very happy with it although dissapointed that it is unable to back up safedisk 2 titles unless you have the firmware version 1.04 or lower - I am unable to lower mine below the 1.07 that it was shipped with! :-(
Therefor I want to make sure that when I purchase another writer, it will definetly copy sd2 titles. So I was hoping you could help me with the following questions... 1) After you have done the copy of Red Alert 2, will the copy only work in your phillips writer or will it work in any cd rom drive? 2) The firmware version you are using is 1.8, is that the current firmware? I am asking this so I could get some idea of whether this is the version I would get if I bought one in the next few days or so. 3) And to to be sure, the drive you have that does the sd2 copies is the Phillips 32 read, 8write, 4re-write? Thanks for any advice.

Hi m8!
In response to your inquirie i have the answers here:- 1) No Red Alert 2, and all my other SDv2 backups work in all Drives not just my writer. 2) What is FIRMWARE ???? 3) Yes the information you gave is correct it is a 32x READ, 8speed WRITE, and 4x Re-WRITE. I hope these answers prove usefull except number 2 |
