PS2 No Mod Swap Trick

Okay, as of now i am very confused about the ps2 and playing backups/imports. Is it possible, with ONLY a GameShark2 to play a backup/import game. This site seems to leave the impression that it IS possible.

What if i use a "no mod patch" from gamecopy world? Will that work in conjuction with gameshark 2?

If neither of these methods work, is there any way to get backup/imports to boot without a modchip?

Any help is greatly appreciated, and responses can be here, or at mrealms**********com

any and all ways of getting cdrs to work without mod are eventually harmful for your ps2.
if you don't mind destroying a 300$ system, go ahead and use them. otherwise, get a cheap mod.
