I need help - i need to know how to make a backup of nba live 2001 for pc

I know that it has protection on it and that i need a crack
I need step by step instructios on how to get the crack and apply it when copying the game
Im using adaptec easy cd creator 4 so please let me know with that program on how to make a back up.
