How I copy s2 games and find results
hey,
this might not work for everyone but this is how i have burned the backup for lets say hitman for example. I did this with an HP 8200 that is 4x4x32 so that is a miracle in itself... 1. use clone cd v. 2.8.4.3 if possible. make sure you put the original game in the cd rw drive, because if your burner supports fast error skip , you wont have to wait for 7 ####ing hours to let your reader try. select read to image file and make sure all that is checked is the fast error skip box. set your read speed to 2x and then save the image to your desired folder. it took about 6 min for me. 2. After the image is recorded to the hard drive successfully, go to the write from image tab and make sure that only the Always close last session box is checked. Select the image to be burned, and make sure the burn speed is at 2x this works for me i havent tried any faster. Burn the image and make sure it finishes successfully. this took 16 min for hitman at 2x. 3. install the game where you want. but use a no cd crack and you are in business. 4.execute with extreme prejudice I hope this helps some people out, after all im just trying to help other people get past this clever protection. Thank god for clonecd and good luck! |

What’s the point of making a backup if your gonna use a no-cd crack. You might as well installed from the original cd, save the original exe somewhere on you hard drive so you can patch it when a patch come out. Even thats a bit stupid since its better to use Deamon Tool, insektor or playback so you don’t have to patch or replace exe’s.

well different strokes for different folks.
i like running games off my hard drive, cd-roms are sometimes loud and it is more convenient this way. yes i do make backups of my original exe's do you really think im that ####ing lame? also have you ever borrowed a game from a friend and back-uped the game ? maybe you would want a copy for yourself eh? also maybe you would want the security of having a backup of your original like everyone else in this forum since that is the the nature of this site..wouldnt you agree, or would you like to be even more hipporcritical? dude, im just trying to help people out, some people might buy a game burn it and return it and i dont care but if you want to flame someone for cracking a game give me a ####ing break!! you and i both know its easier to double click a exe than go through D-toolz anyway. f- the hassle -david hasselhoff |

If you are going to end up using a crack anyway then you are wasting time by even attempting to make a perfect copy.
All you need to do is just copy the contents of the cd to a temp directory, add a directory with the crack, and burn the contents of the temp directory to a cd. Half an hour or so and it is done! |

point well taken.
so burn the temp dir with the original cd's contents plus the folder with the crack in it for when you drag it to the hard drive. i just like to crack my games i guess this can be argued my diablo 2 wont access battlenet because of cracks. i dont know why people would want a perfect copy of a game if they could just use the above method. i guess some people like using cds for understandable reasons. just like bowls or bongs- |
