Really need help with Sims backup

Ok heres the short of everything. I made a cd copy of the Sims a while back using "The Sims v1.0 [US/AU] CD- Copy/Fixed EXE Update 10-02-2000 Gïzmð" from the GCW Page.

Problem is not too long ago my little cousin decided to use my original cd as a frisbie and trashed it. So I was mad but thought np I had a backup on cd. Problem is I never tested out the backup and well it crashes everytime I try to install
"_ins5176 caused an invalid page default in module zdatai51.dll at 0177:10003ebd..... error."

I retried patching the data1.cab file using i5comp with the fixed exe that came in the patch and it doesn't work. I'm thinking I may need to repatch the data1.cab with the original exe. But I never made a backup of the original exe (I know that was stupid). If I do get the original exe and repatch will that work ?

So can my situation be helped or do I need to buy a new game?

The original exe is packaged with a crack for Livin Large on GCW.
