Can I use any burning program?
Hi again all,
Thanks for all ur help so far. However, I have just one question - seing as CloneCD doesnt appear to work on my CD-writer (as everyone who has replied has mentioned), is there any decent burning program around that probably will work on it? It's an LG CD-R/W. Obviously, I'd rather not have to buy a new CD-Writer as this one is a week old! And while I'm here, is it best to write an image file to your HD, then burn that to a CD, rather than just copying CDs (if you see what I mean)? Thanks once again, FarleyUK

Nero is a pretty good program that is also easy to use. You should download that prog if you need somthing decent for the start.
It's usually better not to copy cd's "on the fly" (direct copy) as this increases the risk of producing coasters. You can configure Nero so that it writes an image file first, then burns it on cd and deletes it afterwards. |

HEY MR B!!!!
Thanks!
Does this produce a 1:1 copy like CloneCD though? If not, would I be corect in thinking that you would have to download the patches/cracks from gamecopyworld after u have made an imagefile then apply the patch or move it to a new directory in the image file and then burn that to a CD? Thanks again, FarleyUK

Nero does not produce perfect copy just like clonecd. If your hardware stuff isn't supported by clonecd then you'll have to grab crack from gamecopyworld.

If you use a crack (which is what you need to do if you don't make a perfect copy), you first have to copy all the files from the cd to the hdd and then replace the original program file with the cracked one. You don't have to create an image of the cd, you can burn these files directly onto a cd-r.
