CloneCD isnt perfect

Well I dont believe it myself but CloneCD finally failed me, even after making a working back-up of Red Alert 2 first try. I went to make a back-up of Diablo 2 and all went well : installed fine and updated on Battlenet fine. When I went to play after the update was done installing, I put the copied Play Cd in and I received an illegal operation error saying "Game caused an invalid page fault in module Game exe. So then I tried again, reducing my read speed to 16X from 32X and my write speed to 4x from 8 with the same result. When I put the original Play CD in it worked fine. Any idea's out there? I should also add that when I put the original Play Disk in the game played fine. I used the settings that the CloneCD Database said. which are : Read sub Channel From Data Tracks , Fast Error Skip , and Intelligent Bad Sector Scanner , which are the settings for Securerom, the protection that Diablo 2 is supposed to have.
