Need help burning Soldier of Fortune. PLEASE HELP!!

My friend has the original of Soldier of Fortune and I want to copy it. I downloaded the patch's for SOF from gamecopyword.com and did everything it said, but the game still doesn't work. I think my problem is my program and burning method. I used adaptec easy cd creator and forget what method i used to burn it. anyway---- should i use nero or something? and also--WHAT BURNING METHOD SHOULD I USE??? (DAO, etc....)
