sim city 3000 unlimited - help a newbie

im new to all of this stuff and have been trying to make a backup copy of my new sim city 3k unlimited but with no luck. Please help me and tell me all that I need to do. I'm assuming after searching the files on the cd that it has safedisk protection. I am also thinking that since my burner gets errors when i try to burn it that it has some sort of laserlock. Can any kind soul walk me through this process?

You hit the nail on the head!!! The most important thing is hardware compatibility!!! Software can always he had... Please check the website at www.elaborate-bytes.com then go to english/clonecd/requirements/hardware and see it your burner is on the list...if it is and there are Yes's all the way across with NO *'s that are super important..you are on your way to backing up just about anything...I have never not been able to back something up...but I'm sure my day will come.

If you are good to go in this category email me and I will tell you what you need to do and where to get what you need!!!

i got the uk version of sim3000, get cloneCD (which you probably got already) read a image with the boxes for sub channel data, fast error skipping and read at one speed ticked (if your CD got a lot of scatches), then write the image with the boxes don't repair sub channel data and alway close last session ticked.
