V-Rally 2 euro problem!

I have this backup from original v-rally 2 euro cd. And when I install game from that backup, setup starts to whine "V-Rally 2 isn't installed, please install it". So can someone help me?

try the replacement .exe that you can get here and overwrite the original .exe( make sure the properties are the same before you do this??
