PLAYING EA SPORTS BACKUPS

I was wondering. I for one download my PS2 backups off the internet instead of using the originals to backup the games.
I have this problem. I have Madden 2002 and NBA Live 2001. I have the newest model PS2 (3500 v4) and a Neo Key.
All other games work fine but when i try to run Madden 2k2 (I put the gameshark in then when it asks for the cd to be put in I turn the neo key on and then insert the backup) it sounds like its going to start up, like the cd-rom starts going, but then I just get a black screen.
When I try to play NBA Live 2k1 I just get a white screen and nothing happens. I think there are some patches on Game Copy World but how do I apply those to a .bin/.cue file setup?
Any help is appreciated!
