Does anyone know how to patch the XPS file?

I am trying to patch a Japanese ###NE protected game with the XPS file. In the other word, I have a game that able to detect Modchip. What software do I need beside the CDRWIN? According to some instructions I read on this site, I need to go the MSDOS prompt to do this. I am not familiar with DOS. Does anyone know any step by step instructions? Thank you
