Hi,

the skiping might be due to bad media, or scratched CDrs, if you have just bought a writer download CLONE CD and CDR-Win and make another backup. You dont have to be a "Professional" to make good working backups just good media, good writer software and a little time.

Also maybe give your laser a clean.

Its not the burner or your backups that are causing the problem.

The Burner that you have in my opinion is probably one the most stable units around and is also 100% CloneCD compatable.

Your Problem is more to do with PSX laser as Dal mentioned, but rather cleaning the laser which may help a little, i'd recommend re-calibrating the laser itself (you dont have to be an electronics WHIZ to do this, just a stable hand and a multimeter will sufice).

Take a look at ####://www.psxworkshop.com/basic.html

Or you could do a search through this forum for replies by myself as i have described this on many occasions.

Hope you get it sorted.
