How to recognise fake PSX Controllers and memory cards?

I purchased 2 controllers and 2 memory cards from grey market , but I am not sure about its originality. Can you please guide me how to recognise original PSX Controllers (dual shock/regular) and memory cards? Links to FAQ's and guides are welcome!

well just buy from reputable shops. dunno where you live, but reputable shops are places such as these

SOFTWARE ETC
BABBAGES SOFTWARE
ELECTRONICS BOUTIQUE
FUNCOLAND
WAL MART
K-MART
TARGET

:-)

You can usually tell just by taking a hard look at it... and make sure it's got the PLAYSTATION logo on it.

turn them over and lok at the bottom, they will say Playstation and have a number like:

SCPH-1200 Dual shock controller - green
SCPH-1020 memory card - yellow

Any type of off brand will say there brand name such as InterAct, Innovation, or just be blank on the bottom!!
